Taman Ujung Karangasem
Taman Ujung Karangasem or you can call it Taman Ujung Water Palace located in Tumbu village, Karangasem sub-district, Bali. It is a historical building in the Karangasem royal era. During the Dutch East Indies this place was known as the water palace.
History
Taman Ujung Water Palace was built 1909 by the king of Karangasem that is I Gusti Bagus Jelantik. He has a title as a Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem. In addition to using Balinese architect, the construction of this palace involved architects from Netherlands named Van Den Hentz and Chinese architect named Long Ang. This palace was completed in 1921 and inaugurated in 1937 with a marble inscription written in Latin and Bali script.
Originally this place was built on 400 hectares of land, which now only leaves 10 hectares because it was distributed to local people during the land reform era. In 1963 the worst damage occurred due to natural disasters. At that time the highest mountain in Bali, namely Mount Agung erupted damaging the surrounding area including the Krangasem Palace. In 2000 the Karangasem Government repaired the park without losing its original form.

How to get to Taman Sukasana?
Besides Lempuyang Temple, a famous place on the island of Bali, Ujung Karangasem park is also a highly recommended tourist spot for tourists who want to visit Bali. Around 64.5 km or 1.5 hours drive from Denpasar city by Jl. Prof. Dr. Ide Bagus Mantra. Opening hours start from 08.00 – 19.00, entrance fee at IDR 50.000 per person. Please prepare in cash money before you go to this place.
