The Mount Batur Volcano Viewpoint is located in Penelokan village, Kintamani. Along the Penelokan highway, you can enjoy beautiful views of Mount Batur, often referred to as the Kintamani Volcano. However, there is a perfect location, designed by the local government, for enjoying the beauty of Mount Batur and its lake. It is located exactly 100 meters part the Batur UNESCO Global Geopark if you are coming from the direction of Tirta Empul Temple or Penglipuran village. If you are in southern Bali, such as near Ngurah Rai airport, it takes about two hours to reach the location.

Visiting the scenic Mount Batur (or Kintamani Volcano) viewpoint in Penelokan village is the best option for those who wish to admire the natural beauty of Mount Batur without going on a trek or a jeep tour. The best time to visit this spot is during the day, when the full beauty of Mount Batur and Lake Batur is clearly visible. In the afternoon, the area is usually shrouded in fog due to its high-altitude location. Upon arrival, you will be treated to stunning natural scenery and cool, refreshing air that makes you want to linger, it is a perfect spot for selfies, featuring a beautiful volcano and lake as backdrop.

Ticket fee and Opening hours

You will enter the Kintamani area before arriving at the site. There is an entrance fee of IDR 50.000 per person for the Kintamani area; however, there is no entrance fee to visit the Batur Volcano viewpoint. if you are visiting by vehicle, you can park inside the market on the left past the Kintamani Volcano view point if arriving from the direction of Tirta Empul or at the Batur UNESCO Global Geopark. Parking fees are IDR 5.000 per car and IDR 2.000 per motorcycle. This tourist attraction is open 24 hours a day, except on Nyepi (Day of silence), when all tourist attractions in Bali are closed.
