Angel’s Billabong Nusa Penida is one of the popular tourist attractions in Nusa Penida which can be on your main agenda when you come on vacation to the island of Bali. Angel’s Billabong located in Sakti village, banjar Sumpang, Kelungkung regency, in the west of Nusa Penida island and in the same directions as other tourist attractions such as Broken beach and Kelingking beach. Exactly about 500 meters from Broken beach.

Angel’s Billabong is taken from the word Angel in Balinese which means Bidadari who is synonymous with beauty. And Billabong is usually often interpreted as a dead-end river or the final mouth of the river as you can see in the picture which is flanked by a cliffs with pools of water that looks very clean so you can see the bottom of this river.

Angel’s Billabong offers a natural swimming pool with clear pool water and flanked by cliffs along with views of the blue sea stretching out captivatingly making this place attractive for tourists visiting here. This natural swimming pool is slightly higher than the ocean and if you look at it from a distance its looks like it merges with the ocean. When the sea water recedes you can enjoy its beauty by swimming in this pool but still obey the commands of your guide.
You are always careful when swimming and must follow the directions of your tour guide. Because swimming in Angel’s billabong can be dangerous when the tide is high. So that seawater enters the pool and eventually drags you to the sea. Usually high tides occur during the rainy season and full moon. If you visit here and want to enjoy your day by swimming, you should not vacation here during the rainy and full moon seasons.

Ticket fee and opening hours
Currently, the Angel’s Billabong entrance ticket is IDR 5.000 per person. At IDR for motorbikes and IDR 10.000 for car parking is charged and make sure you bring IDR cash. This place is open 24 hours, but it is not good idea to visit at night because there is no supervision.
How to go to Angel’s Billabong?
Depart from your hotel in Bali island and should arrive at Sanur port at 08:00 am and then you have to book fast boat ticket which is the cost at IDR 150.000/person/way. Departure time at 08:15 am and will take around 40 minutes by fast boat. Arrive at Nusa Penida port and make sure you booked private transport before arriving there. From the port it will take around 30 minutes driver to Angel’s billabong parking area. From parking area you have to walk around 15 minutes to the main location.
